Why are you adding a new location?
Adding a new location gives us the opportunity to have many of our practices on the same floor in one building. This will make it much more convenient for you and your loved ones to access the care you need. Because our new location is on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, our physicians will have more opportunities to collaborate with other medical professionals.
Where is the new location?
Our new location will be on the fourth floor of the Conventus building on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in downtown Buffalo. When you get into the elevator, you’ll see it labeled as the UBMD Outpatient Center.
What practices will be included at Conventus?
Our new location will include 12 practices. They are: Dermatology, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics-Gynecology, Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, Pathology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Surgery, and Urology. Additional information is below.
Will my current office be affected?
For most practices or service-lines opening in Conventus, this new office is an additional location for that practice, offering another location to care for you. A few practices and/or divisional services will be affected by the opening of Conventus and are discussed below.
If you’re a patient of UBMD Internal Medicine, the Conventus office is replacing the Buffalo General Medical Center location for Allergy, Immunology & Rheumatology out-patient services. The Youngs Road location will continue to provide these services, as well.
If you’re a patient of UBMD Neurology, the Conventus office is replacing the location at Buffalo General Medical Center.
If you’re a patient of UBMD Pediatrics, the Conventus office is the new location of its Buffalo Outpatient Center, formerly at Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.
If you’re a patient of UBMD Surgery, the Conventus office is replacing the vascular services previously offered at Buffalo General Medical Center on the seventh floor.
All other practice offices are scheduled to remain open.
When is this happening?
It already is. Eight practices are currently seeing patients in Conventus, with several others on the way. See the schedule below for more information.
We will continue to update this site with more specific information, so be sure to check back frequently.
What do I need to do?
Nothing — simply arrive at your appointment. All of your medical records will be available at the new location.
What's the new address?
Our new location is 1001 Main Street, 4th Floor, Buffalo, NY 14203. To send mail to your doctor’s office, simply note the office name first, followed by the mailing address. Example: UBMD Dermatology, 1001 Main Street, 4th Floor, Buffalo, NY 14203.
